Because after winter, there's spring. After spring, there’s summer. After summer, there's fall. This is just a cycle. I have been through five of these. I promise you, it will be okay.

How Did I Discover It?

Decades ago, I fell victim to a plot orchestrated by two veterinarians and a journalist. Here's the shocking reality.

One of the veterinarians was the president of the largest veterinary association in Switzerland. The other veterinarian had just opened a mobile veterinary service very close to my practice: Cabinet Vétérinaire International.

They Contacted a Journalist Acquaintance of Theirs and Managed to Have her Write Lies About Me On The Front Page of a National Newspaper

These lies made their way to the radio. I felt broken. I thought that my clinic would never recover. Everything I had worked for seemed destroyed. Have you ever experienced the feeling that you were about to lose everything you had worked for?

Because of the lies, no one was making appointments at my clinic. In fact, people were canceling.

I reassured my staff that everything would be okay. They knew that what had been written was wrong and they remained stalwart on a ship that was undoubtedly sinking.

After That, a Group of Veterinarians Who Composed the State (called cantons in Switzerland) Branch of The National Veterinary Association Was Very Displeased With the Success of My Practice


They also hated the fact that I was receiving clients around the clock.

They were also unhappy that when patients required it, I would do full workups. If the patient needed surgery at three in the morning, I would do it.

They Lied to Pet Owners About Me

They Also Lied Publicly About Their Qualifications

They were very displeased with that; however, instead of offering such a service to their patients and competing with me, they resorted to slandering me.



Thanks to Their Connections With the Media, They Made a Show Against Me

They Went to The Extent of Printing Posters Against Me That They Put On Their Reception

They also put them in their waiting rooms and on their front doors.

I Had Been Working For 25 Years Without a Single Complaint. Suddenly, Complaints Started Raining Down

After coming to me for an emergency, clients would go back to their regular veterinarians, who would tell them that my diagnosis and all my therapies were wrong. The veterinarians told clients that I had abused their trust and overcharged them.


So, I hired a detective who went to the people who had filed complaints and asked them, “What happened?” We noticed that the veterinarians had asked their clients to file the complaints.

I knew that this would be the end when examining an animal my hands began to shake.

Then  Something  Extraordinary  Happened…  

"A force  inside  me  took  control it closed  my  eyes. .."

It brought to the surface from beneath all the muck memories of my being in the flow … of touching, holding, examining, and healing animals.  
  
And, suddenly, words scrolled before my mind’s eye. I knew, with immediacy, at that moment, that everybody  has  something  inside  of  them  that  can change  people’s  lives.  No one can take away what Nature and God have given to me. 

These would be the words that would guide me out of this.   
  
My clinic may have been destroyed, but my gifts and accomplishments would  always be mine to own, exclusively.
  
There would always be animals to 
treat.   
  
I opened my eyes and looked at my hands.   
  
They had stopped shaking...  

Suddenly, the Answer Came to Me  

I looked again at my hands and traveled mentally back in time...

It’s true that my residency in  diagnostic pathology in theUniversity in  Switzerland had 
not prepared me for this.
Also not my intensive post-graduate studies at The Animal Medical Center in New York City 
Or my training one on one with Dr.Martin De Angelis, who is widely accepted as one of the world’s top veterinary  surgeons, had not
given me the tools to resist
 such an attack.

In other words, our veterinary training doesn’t teach us that!

Two experts were assigned to review the cases. One was a department director at the Zurich veterinary university. The other was Professor Calvert, who had been a professor at the University of Georgia in the USA.

Both of them independently concluded that they agreed 100% with all my diagnoses, therapeutic plans, and recommendations.

They also both remarked that my prices were fair and generous to a point that is rarely seen in the profession.

There's a police report that states that my phones may have been tapped.

When we train as veterinarians, we train to provide the best treatments we can. We're not trained to defend ourselves against such attacks.

So, when I was in the midst of this battle, I had to find a way to survive. I resorted to looking into what experts in marketing and management for veterinarians suggested. 

There are many experts and they're good at what they do. I exhausted all the recommendations I could find, to no avail.

Nothing really worked for me because this was essentially a manhunt.

That's when I realised that I needed a system of my own if I wanted to survive all the slandering and if I wanted my practice to survive.

I Ended Up Suing Them All Together


The Geneva Court Found Their Attitude to Be So Bad, and The False Rumours They Spread to Be So Unacceptable, That...

It forbade each member of the local veterinary association from commenting on any of my diagnostic and therapeutic decisions.

Of course, I resigned from every Swiss veterinary association and become a good-standing member of US and international ones.

As You May Know, I Also Ended Up Winning My Lawsuit Against The National Newspapers (civil and criminal)

I was awarded the largest compensation a newspaper ever had to pay in Switzerland.

Unfortunately, in Switzerland, it's not like it is in the States—you don't make lots of money when you sue somebody, not even a national newspaper. The compensation barely covered my legal fees. But at least my honour was restored.

A friend of mine told me that the truth always ends up being discovered.

The way I see it, the problem is that some veterinarians are like some priests: They looked so trustworthy before the truth came out, so who would have imagined? They really look so trustworthy.

And these are people who take care of patients, family pets, for years. Who would have thought that they would resort to what I would say was borderline criminal activity?

And, okay, the truth always ends up being discovered … but it takes time. And when you're the victim, you either survive or you will be completely destroyed.

In my case, I was able to find, inside of myself, a new universe—a strength whose origin I didn’t know. From this new universe, I came back with a new system—a bulletproof system that could go through the worst of battles. 

I would stand up in the middle of these fights that lasted for years, and I would look in front of me, I would look on each side of me. I told myself that most of the veterinarians there hated me. 

They wanted me to not be open on weekends and holidays. 

They didn’t want me to have the success that I have achieved. It felt a little scary.

Not all of them hated me, of course. I had friends. 

However, the problem is that you have a few rotten apples, and the ones who don't hate you will try to stay out of the battle. They don't want to get mixed up in all that.
